The Professional Organizer assists you in identifying your organizing needs, creating a plan with your special situation in mind, and then executing the plan. The plan may include organizing products and knowledge transfer so you can stay organized after the job is complete.

  • No! Organizers are skilled professionals who are educated in the needs of individuals who need organizing help. They provide organizing solutions, process modification, behavior modification, access to custom products, and make other adjustments to your space and lifestyle. The benefits are long-lived and involve changes in how you view your life and work within your space. Some have advanced degrees in psychology or knowledge and training in dealing with special clients such as those who are Physically Challenged, Chronically Disorganized, have ADD, ADHD, OCD or recovering from traumatic brain injuries or in specialized areas such as Facilities Management, Interior Design, Feng Shui or Home Staging.
  • How much does it cost?
  • The better question is “how much is my disorganization costing me”? The cost of professional organization services is easily paid back by helping you feel less stressed, having a neater environment, getting to appointments on time, saving money on potentially unnecessary storage units, repeated cleaning costs, redundant purchases and avoiding late charges or interest fees on your disorganized finances. Every project has unique circumstances and scope. The fees are determined by the size and complexities of your project and how much labor you wish to do yourself.
  • How does it work?
  • We'll start with a free phone assessment of your situation. This assessment helps us determine your readiness to really move forward with a project. This is then followed by a personalized walk-through to review your situation and build a work list.  Then, we'll prepare a custom proposal to match your needs and budget.  All you have to do is choose your desired plan, and schedule the job - we'll do the rest!
  • Who does the work?
  • The best results are gained when clients and organizers work in tandem. We will be working with you, not for you! Your solution can be implemented very flexibly, either by us, you, or a combined effort. Some clients work best from an Action Plan provided by us, while others need more hands-on help and additional coaching in order to complete the task. Your custom proposal with cover these options based on your circumstances and wishes.
  • When will it start and how long will it take?
  • All projects are scheduled with you, taking into account your needs and priorities as well as our availability. Generally, projects can proceed very quickly, sometimes the same week you contact us! Your organizer will give you a ballpark timeline based on your circumstances and typical time estimates for common projects.
  • Is the service confidential?
  • Absolutely, all services and terms are confidential between you and Chaos to Calm. You may tell whomever you want that you are working with an organizer, but we never will. We work closely with our clients and a have non-judgmental approach to handling your project. We want you to be comfortable about the process and assure you our utmost respect and discretion.
  • Any client quotes or photos used by Chaos to Calm are only used with written permission from the client. As a member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and of NAPO – New England, Chaos to Calm is bound by NAPO’s Code of Ethics.
